Outdoor Wedding | Flag Hill Distillery + Winery

The weather was a perfect 75 degrees, the sun was shining and the vines at Flag Hill Winery + Distillery, Lee, NH were in their full bloom glory, this day was destined to be gorgeous! The bride and all the special women in her family were all preparing while sipping champagne at The Wingate Salon and Spa in Stratham, NH But... before we get to all the beautiful photos and sweet love story can we rewind it back ten days.

Not even two weeks prior to the wedding day and the bride is in emergency surgery to remove her appendix, then one day before her wedding, just prior to her rehearsal, shes teaching a cycle class! Girl what?! She then continues the wedding day by dancing the night away!

So really and truly the fact that they met at a gym, and Talon fell in love while being razzed by the ever so sweet bride for not keeping up with her and then that Talon popped the question while the two were on a 6:30 am run while on vacation in St. Croix should come as no surprise because umm beast mode! And yes I said on vacation ... and run .... and 6:30 AM all in one sentence.

Then after the excitement of the proposal wore down a bit .... they finished their (way to early) run with burpees and squats. hese two get it done!

Wondering where Talon was keeping the ring... nope not the pocket.... his shoe. Yep that's love, running with a "rock" in your shoe to start and then putting a foot sweat ring on your finger. xoxo

Now for the pretty day!

Meaghan + Talon thank you so much for the opportunity to document your beautiful day! It was truly a beautiful day full of so much love and fun!

Tips For Better Wedding Photos | New Hampshire Wedding Photographer

Everyone is always full of tips and tricks for a smoother wedding day, but this is not really that. These tips are going to be from the perspective of the photographer to ensure many beautiful photos for your albums, because who doesn't want that!

1. Look Up

I know this sounds super easy and silly to even mention, but it's worth mentioning. Brides as soon as you start down the aisle, look up at me. Mention it to your father too, because for some reason as soon as a bride and her father start down the aisle, instantly eyes drop down. I know it's nerves, and nerves will get the best of all of us... I too have a great shot of my father and I staring at the ground, but fight the urge. Look up at me, look past me to your groom, make eye contact with him, take it all in! This is the moment that all your planning has been for, this is your moment. I mean really how do you want to miss seeing this reaction?! [...]
