Everyone is always full of tips and tricks for a smoother wedding day, but this is not really that. These tips are going to be from the perspective of the photographer to ensure many beautiful photos for your albums, because who doesn't want that!
1. Look Up
I know this sounds super easy and silly to even mention, but it's worth mentioning. Brides as soon as you start down the aisle, look up at me. Mention it to your father too, because for some reason as soon as a bride and her father start down the aisle, instantly eyes drop down. I know it's nerves, and nerves will get the best of all of us... I too have a great shot of my father and I staring at the ground, but fight the urge. Look up at me, look past me to your groom, make eye contact with him, take it all in! This is the moment that all your planning has been for, this is your moment. I mean really how do you want to miss seeing this reaction?! [...]
Once a contract is signed with Amy Brown Photography we get right to work scheduling out the time leading up to your day! The first thing we will need to schedule is your engagement session, i will then also schedule in my planner two additional questionnaires that I will have you fill out. These will have general questions from your day, allowing me to give proper credit to vendors that are included.
With all Amy Brown Photography packages you will receive a complimentary engagement session. This is a great time to get to know each other and really get comfortable. It always makes for a more relaxed wedding day when we have worked out the "new person" jitters before hand! I suggest you think of a special place that means something to the two of you or maybe even just a place that you feel is beautiful. If you can not think of a location then we can absolutely come up with a location together! [...]

No one wants to look back at their wedding photos and cringe at that "just cut hair" look or even worse, feel its so short but have no time for it to grow back a tad! Along those same lines, this is not the time to radically change your daily cut look! Read More
2. Do not start tanning like a crazy person, this goes for both spray and beds! Not only will you look like a gorgeous Oompa Loompa, but unless your spouse and every person in your bridal party tans also, you will standout like a sore thumb. We want you to stand out for your beauty, not because you give people a craving for Doritos! [...]
