After shooting my rings on the perfect little mason jar I decided to haul it all out, my antique cream lace, Maggie Sottero gown, my earrings and rings, my favorite Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume, my invitations, my silk pink and orange, lily and gerber daisy bouquet, gasp.. yes I did silk, and I even made mine and the bridesmaids bouquets and groomsmen boutonnieres, and ya know what, I love being able to look at it and touch it from time to time. That day held so many amazing memories and I love to re-live the little moments, if only in my mind. We had a very small elopement style ceremony in Conway, NH , only 11 people attended , and after the small dinner we went mini golfing, him in his tux and I in my dress, we loved it and it was so perfect. We had an amazing photographer that day who did an amazing job capturing the ceremony and cake cutting and even the golfing, but I have always wanted to be able to capture it in my own vision. We had a second party later in the summer to celebrate with all of our family in a more relaxed manner, and for the party I made a small pearl necklace to match mine (yes there is a picture!) for our yorkie pup Chloe, because she is and always will be my first baby.
It took me two days to set it all up and shoot around a one year old, nap fighting banshee, but I did it and I love it!
If you look close enough you can see the wear marks on the ring and the dirt on the dress, but it all tells the story of us, and its hard to believe that this year, that story has been being told for TEN years, five of which I have been able to call him my husband… <3
I love my bridal set, but even more I love what it stands for ♥
This is my glass pearl necklace, I made one for myself and each of my two bridesmaids.
I love my Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume, the smell is amazing and I love the cute pink color.
Our hot pink wedding invitations were all handmade by an amazing friend and artist.
My dress was by Maggie Sottero and to this day I am still in love with the cream lace and delicate detailing.
I also made a mini version pearl necklace for my pup Chloe, she wore it at our wedding party that we had following the wedding in August.
I love our cake topper, we only had a small round cake at our wedding in North Conway, but I still wanted to have something special on it, and this willow tree cake topper was perfect. Although it is simply a carving, I love the feeling of love that is radiates.
